Complete Oversight
Every vessel in our care operates under a dedicated management structure. Crew, compliance, finances, technical oversight — handled as a single responsibility, not fragmented between departments.
South Florida. The Atlantic and Caribbean.
Twenty-five years of private management.
“We run a small company deliberately. Every client knows us personally. Every yacht in our care receives the same attention — whether it arrived last year, or has been with us since the beginning.”
Phillips Marine Group is a boutique management company, and we take that seriously. Small means personal. Personal means accountable. We have no interest in managing more yachts than we can manage with genuine care.
Every vessel we oversee is handled the way we would want our own managed — quietly, completely, and without unnecessary interruptions. Most owners never have a reason to call us. That is exactly how it should be.
Sean Phillips spent the first years of his career on the water, working his way through every role worth knowing on a yacht before moving into management. He founded Phillips Marine Group in 1998 because he had seen too many management companies that were better at selling services than delivering them.
Twenty-five years later, the company he built is still run the same way — personally, deliberately, and with an honest understanding that this work depends entirely on trust.
“The question I always ask a prospective client isn’t about the yacht. It’s about what they expect from the people responsible for it.”
Sean Phillips — Founder & Principal
Every vessel in our care operates under a dedicated management structure. Crew, compliance, finances, technical oversight — handled as a single responsibility, not fragmented between departments.
We do not route client communications through account managers or support tiers. You work directly with the people who know your yacht. This is not a small distinction.
The work that matters most happens before anything goes wrong. Our maintenance schedules, crew protocols, and vendor relationships are built around preventing problems, not reacting to them.
For vessels available for charter, we manage the entire programme — from positioning strategy to guest provisioning. Your yacht earns. You do not manage it.
We draw on twenty-five years of relationships with captains, engineers, and stewards across the Atlantic and Caribbean. Crew are placed with care, not speed.
Scheduled maintenance, technical supervision, yard relationships — we manage refit projects the way an owner would. Personally, with full accountability for quality and spend.
Fort Lauderdale is the yachting capital of the Western Hemisphere. Every shipyard, chandler, crew placement agency, and maritime authority worth knowing operates within proximity. It is where decisions are made and where expertise concentrates.
We have been based here since we started. The relationships we have built in this port — with captains, engineers, yard managers, and port authorities — are among the most valuable things we offer to owners who are new to this market.
“Most of our new clients come from someone who has worked with us before, or from someone who knows someone who has. We have never found a better endorsement than that.”
