Superyacht profile at sea — managed by Phillips Marine Group
SERVICES · PHILLIPS MARINE GROUP

Complete management. No exceptions.

From daily operations to complex refit projects.
Everything a yacht requires, from one point of accountability.

Our Philosophy

“Management, properly done, is invisible to the owner. They experience only the result. What we provide is the work that makes that possible.”

We do not offer partial management. The structure we provide covers every operational domain a yacht requires — technical, financial, crew, charter, compliance — and coordinates them as a single responsibility. Fragment that structure and the gaps between vendors become problems the owner eventually inherits.

Our clients come to us because they want to own a yacht without managing one. That requires a company willing to be fully accountable, not one that routes problems through multiple departments while billing coordination fees on top. We work from one desk. One relationship. Full accountability.

What We Provide

Seven disciplines.
One company.

Yacht Management

Complete Oversight

Full operational oversight across every domain the vessel requires. Budget preparation and monthly reporting, maintenance scheduling, flag state and class compliance, technical supervision, and direct coordination with the captain and crew. A single point of accountability — not a management layer that routes responsibility elsewhere.

Charter Management

Revenue Programme

For owners who want the vessel generating revenue when they are not aboard. We manage the entire programme — positioning strategy, broker relationships, guest provisioning, compliance documentation, and post-charter reviews. The owner sets the parameters. We handle everything else.

Crew Placement

Crew Relations

We maintain working relationships with captains, chief engineers, first officers, and senior stewards across the Atlantic and Caribbean. Placement is based on qualification and operational fit — not availability. We take the time required to find the right person for each vessel and ownership style.

Maintenance & Refit Oversight

Technical Management

Preventive maintenance is what prevents operational problems; reactive repair is what happens when it is not managed properly. We coordinate scheduled maintenance, manage shipyard relationships, and supervise refit projects with direct on-site oversight. Standards are agreed in advance and enforced throughout.

Brokerage Advisory

Transactions

Pre-purchase survey coordination, sea trial supervision, condition assessments, and due diligence support for acquisitions and disposals. We do not operate as brokers — we represent the owner’s interest in a transaction, providing independent technical oversight on their behalf.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

Financial Management

Monthly financial reporting, budget preparation, vendor management, flag state registration, insurance coordination, and expense administration. Every cost is reviewed, every budget line accounted for, and every vendor relationship managed on the owner’s behalf. No surprises.

Voyage & Logistics Coordination

Operations

Itinerary planning, port coordination, provisioning, customs documentation, fuel strategy, and crew logistics. For complex voyages, we brief the captain on each port, coordinate with local agents in advance, and manage the full operational preparation — so the vessel departs ready.

Below Deck

The work that
owners never see.

A well-managed yacht does not generate calls to the owner. The maintenance schedule is current. The crew is stable. Compliance is documented. When something does require a decision, it arrives as a clear summary — not a crisis. This is what complete management actually looks like from the inside.

Technical Continuity

A yacht’s technical systems require continuous attention — not just when something fails. We maintain rolling maintenance schedules that anticipate needs, manage vendor relationships proactively, and coordinate all technical work. The owner is involved when a decision is required. Not before.

Financial Discipline

Management budgets are prepared annually and reported monthly. Every expense line is reviewed before it is committed. Vendor invoices are verified. Charter income is reconciled. The owner receives clear accounts, not summaries. Financial oversight is not a reporting service — it is an operational discipline.

Compliance Integrity

Flag state requirements, class notation schedules, MCA compliance, crew certification standards — these are not administrative formalities. We maintain compliance calendars, coordinate surveys and renewals, and ensure the vessel’s documentation is current and correct at all times.

How We Work

A structure built
around your yacht.

Initial Assessment

We begin with a complete technical and operational review of the vessel — existing crew, current maintenance state, flag compliance, outstanding items, and operational costs. This establishes an honest baseline from which everything else follows.

Management Structure

Based on the assessment, we propose a management structure and annual budget. Every cost is projected from known vendor relationships and historical data. Nothing is estimated loosely or revised later without explanation.

Active Operations

Management begins with daily monitoring of the vessel’s operational state. Crew communication, maintenance coordination, charter management if applicable, and financial oversight — all running continuously, without requiring the owner’s involvement.

Owner Reporting

Monthly reports covering technical status, financial position, upcoming maintenance, and any items requiring a decision. Clear, complete, and concise. Full visibility without daily involvement. The owner knows exactly where things stand.

Charter Management

Your yacht earns.
You don’t manage it.

A charter programme, properly managed, works for both the owner and the guest. The vessel generates revenue. The guest experiences a yacht that functions exactly as promised. These outcomes require active management — not just listing the vessel with a broker and hoping for the best.

We coordinate the full programme: broker relationships, positioning strategy, maintenance windows timed around charter gaps, guest provisioning to the owner’s specification, and post-charter technical reviews. Our role is to ensure the charter experience reflects the same standard the owner expects when the vessel is private.

Crew & Technical Network

Twenty-five years
of relationships.

Twenty-five years of presence in Fort Lauderdale and across the Atlantic basin has built a working network of captains, engineers, stewards, and technical specialists we have either worked with directly or placed with owners we trust. When a position needs filling, we draw on this network first — before any agency search.

The same principle applies to technical vendors — shipyards, systems engineers, electronics specialists, and yard project managers. The relationships we have built over time represent direct operational value to every owner in our care. They cannot be acquired quickly. They are the result of showing up consistently, for a long time.
